just noticed that i never posted any photos from the music festival i went to in hangzhou a few months ago! it was kind of the perfect summer weekend, which also happened to coincide with john’s birthday. we lay on the grass, went crazy for PK14, had a marathon 5 hour karaoke session (hi 6am), drank, rode boats, ate delicious foods and generally had an amazing time.
we leave for our whirlwind stateside tour in exactly 3 weeks! so excited! hey NYC, boston, providence, tiverton, state of vermont, montreal and toronto, i can’t wait to see you!!! xx

i was recently asked by CTRIP to join their panel of “celebrity judges” (ahaha – the other legit judges were elaine chow from shanghaiist as well as jess beaton from CNNgo) for the MOUSTACHE SUMMER contest. WAHOO!
the grand prize winner (my favourite, pictured above) will be given a whopping 20,000rmb gift certificate from CTRIP, and 2nd and 3rd prize are a very solid 7,000rmb and 3,000rmb prize respectively. check out the BLOG POST for more info.
big congrats to the three winners, and if you see me around town (i’m lookin’ at you, scuba guy), be sure to pick up my bar tab – 20,000rmb ain’t nothing to laugh at. also, if you have any great ideas for any upcoming contests, be sure to send ‘em in, there’s going to be a ton more awesome shit happening with them over the coming year!

john & i picked up a canon s90 over the weekend and i can’t get over how lovely it is. a coupl’a shots of our apartment, we’ve slowly been getting around to hanging prints. also, obligatory shot of buster the cat! x

it’s been taking me too long to post updates! it’s mostly laziness, plus new job and the summer heat. things are very good though, and we have been running around getting into all sorts of fun and trouble. here are some photos from the last few weeks, they can be explained as follows:
1. this is a small cat! my friend jordan found him on the street, sadly, his little sister died a few weeks later. it’s kitty season!
2. volcom x source screenprinting workshop this weekend, sammy bib made me this great print, which i forgot to take home.
3. buster recently got spayed, and he was really grumpy. we put this outfit on meow to cheer him up. we think it worked!!
4. tea sanctuary in hangzhou – john and i took a very lovely little weekend excursion to the tea fields, it was very nice.
5. PRIMO! i interviewed DJ PREMIER a couple weeks ago for the NikeSportswear.com site. go have a peep at my photos + words.

so i’ve been (kinda) sitting on this news for the past two months or so, but yup, it’s true! today is my last official day with the WIEDEN+KENNEDY family. after nearly 3 years with these wonderful people, it’s time for me to move on, and as of JULY 12th, i will be starting on in my new role at 2K Games.
i’m of course so sad to be leaving this fantastic, crazy, infuriating, inspiring, amazing company, but the video game industry has always been a source of fascination and i’m so interested and excited to see what new adventures await.

a couple of photos! BUSY AS USUAL. every blog post is the same, dear diary, i am really busy, dear journal, why is life so busy?
quick update: last weekend i went to the tongchuan seafood market with a large group of friends. if you haven’t been, you really should, as it’s essentially a fresh seafood free for all for anyone and all. we spent an hour running around purchasing various kinds of crab, clams, and other shellfish, and then headed to a restaurant where they cooked up our goodies fresh and tasty. the icing on the cake (the wasabi in the soy?) was bringing our own butter, which was melted and served to us during the meal – would highly recommend a trip down there!
