needless to say, it’s been a crazy past few weeks. married!! done and dusted!! everything was fabulous, 170 guests dancing the night away at the beautiful san francisco maritime museum. to all of our wonderful friends + family who traveled from near, far and wide (can you believe that 120 of our guests were from out of state or country?), thank you so much for being a part of our day! real photos from our photographers will come along soon enough, in the meantime though these instagram photos will have to do – thank you #KimchiCowboy taggers for spreading these photos across every platform known to man, thank god for the internet.

ok, now what? oh right – social security numbers, finding an apartment (nightmare), getting my drivers license (bigger nightmare!), buying a car, getting a job!

pps. this is the year of weddings – we are attending at least one a month until december, what is happening? five friends have had babies this year already, every time a new boy is born, i send the little guy one of these. i highly recommend you do the same.

hello darlings! 11 days till the wedding, officially 51 days since we moved to san francisco. in the first week, i bought a bike, found a freelance project that’s gonna keep me busy till the wedding, got my green card. what next?!

haven’t had a download posting in so long! somebody from beijing commented last week about wanting more songs, so here they are. i’ve been biking the 25 minutes from the marina to south of market every morning and it’s been so nice to turn on spotify and listen to my hearts content while i’m zipping around the city. on my way home, i usually take the scenic route and my favourite part is coasting down the embarcadero and watching the ocean come into view. so nice! so here are some songs for you to download, they are my favourites right now so i hope you enjoy!

from brazil to argentina to chile, this is what we did after we moved away from china! boating and splashing on the beaches of brazil, hiking (and whining) through the 100mph winds of patagonia and climbing mountains in the dead of summer with sleet and snow, drinking wine in chile, salsa dancing in buenos aires and saying heyyy to the gravesite of mrs. eva peron, it was incredible!

we’re now settled into our new home in san francisco, california.

WAHHHH! Life is BUSY and life is good! As most of you know, December 22nd marks our final end date in this crazy China journey, can you believe it’s been over five years of this madness?! As a special treat, I bought myself this fun little toy and those images above come courtesy of my first roll. Am still playing around with the functions but overall very pleased with the splurge.

Look, if you’re in Shanghai on December 10th, you really have no excuse not to turn up. Please come celebrate (and say good riddance) to us as we say goodbye to China and hello to the real world. More details can be found here. XOXO

Shanghai Fashion Week kicked off last week and Women’s Wear Daily were kind enough to invite me to shoot the Vivienne Westwood’s S/S2012 show, so wonderful. Above are some photos from the show + one photo of the most amazing dress ayi spotted taking a break pre-show, maybe more to be posted soon of party and backstage – the organizers hired this male dance troupe from Kazakhstan to dance at the after party, they were wearing stilettos and not much else. the best thing about living in China is the absolute insanity of nightlife. a quiet Tuesday night drink with lo&sons turned into the above madness, still not entirely sure what was going on but all of a sudden we looked up and there was utter chaos on stage, cameras flashing, music pumping, whips… whipping?

we have a couple of ex-Shanghai friends fresh from Portland in town, have been taking them out to bars and watching their grinning faces as they take in the absurdity of this city. after nearly 6 years here, i still can’t figure out if this is a positive or negative, the truth about Shanghai is that anything can happen here, no rules, no limits.

picked up ludacris & entourage at the airport, all access passes, glorious blue sky (and windy) day, beautiful crowds and an all around fantastic event. VERY embarrassing situation with the 30 seconds to mars tent, accidentally asked for jordan catelan… i mean, jared leto. no one was happy.
