i have a confession, and that confession is that i have a weakness for cheesy pop love songs. another confession (that i am loathe to admit), in an effort to empty my brain of all the day to day stresses of living in this bizarre, crazy country, i have been watching the hit tv show GREY’S ANATOMY, a television show filled with crazy, selfish people who have the emotional sensibilities of hormonally inbalanced 13 year olds. these two confessions have borne the latest OWTF mix, a thirteen song compilation of the most wonderfully cheesy, gooey doe eyed songs on my itunes list.

i’ve gotten a couple requests for a christmas themed mix, so here it is! some oldies and some newsies, in particular i love the trans-siberian orchestra version of carol of the bells, which has always been one of my favourite songs. there’s no ‘all i want for christmas’ on this list, but i’m sure you’ll be hearing it enough while you’re out & about over the next couple of weeks.

overall, it’s been a pretty amazing year and i can’t believe it’s nearly over – we traveled alot this year, making it to seven different countries and sludging a massive carbon footprint through this pretty pretty world. this christmas we’ll be splitting our time in between the US & Canada – a couple days in San Francisco, a couple more in Portland & Edmonton, and then a grand finale in a cabin in the mountains of Oregon. i’m so looking forward to seeing what 2011 brings to the table but for now, right click the below and enjoy!! xx

today felt like the first official day of winter, and after a drizzling rainy weekend, all i want to do is curl up with my boyfriend and watch movies and eat snacks. another download for you, a bunch of winter appropriate songs, nothing especially poppy, mostly just beautiful voices from the likes of sharon van etten, owen pallett and more. to be enjoyed with a warm cup of tea and preferably with a couple of cuddly cats curled up and purring around your legs. xoxo

during our upcoming trip to the western world, we’re going to be doing a bit of driving so i thought i’d make a little summer road trip playlist. we’re planning on leaving providence and weaving our way through vermont, up to montreal, back down to niagra falls and then veering off to the left into toronto. we’ll drive straight back to providence after we’re done our trip, and then it’s a quick amtrak to new york and we’re back on a plane to shanghai before you know it.

wowowow, it’s been a long time since i last uploaded any songs for you! it’s pretty much summer here, with the odd rainy day and huge gust of wind. been listening to alot of cheery sweet summer’esque tunes, maybe you’ll like them too.
