some more images from my trip to xiamen last weekend.
we had alot of fun, xiamen is beautiful with it’s beaches and islands. however, being there reminded me how frustrating it can be to travel within china – after a couple of days, the hoards upon hoards of incessantly snacking (and then littering), pushing, shouting tourists end up driving me mad.
the architecture on gulangyu island is incredible as well, but everything is run down and it makes me so sad – john pointed out that it’s at least one saving grace that the buidlings weren’t torn down completely.
still, living in this country is an honour and a privilege, and you take the good with the bad. hmmmmmmmm.
