after much anticipating, us kids (adrian, sammy, yaya, drew, reggie and i) are launching our monthly dance night. it’s called BADTASTIC and we’ve even got a website. come by and say hi this saturday at NOT ME!

our friends rodney and natasha held a house party to remember on friday. they put in loads of effort to make their amazing home look even more amazing and because we all love them, we made an effort to look our arabian bests. xx
saw this today on the onion, thought it was appropriate to how i feel most days. by now everyone’s seen the hilarious new changes that have happened over at every american white guy’s favourite website, and i’m loving it. it’s as if their editorial team decided to give a present to every single expat living out here!
my favourite article so far: grandfather disrespected in own home, along with the following quote: “gandchildren, sources confirmed, should do what they are told”. this is also awesome.
ps. thank GOD it’s friday! what a crazy crazy week and i’ve got work to plow through over this glorious coming weekend. still, tonight is gonna be all work and no play – my friend rodney is holding a spectacular birthday celebration in his lovely home. the theme is ARABIAN NIGHTS, and everyone’s gone out and made the effort, i even got a costume. pictures on monday, holla, i’m out!
another late night in the office, waiting for a dinner delivery of indian food and catching up on the day. too many meetings and craziness in the afternoon means post-office hours are the only time when things really get done. tired tired tired, but listening to alot of new songs lately and posting up a quickie mix of pretty pretty sounds i’m into. at this point, i’m not even sure if anyone’s listening, nevertheless, but here it is, from me to you xx.

we ventured out this morning to watch the sky turn dark, but the shanghai weather foiled us once again and we were drenched by rain. still, everything went dark for a couple of minutes and in the torrential rains we watched headlights turn on and people running red lights.

yesterday marked the hottest day shanghai had to suffer through in 65 years! it was so hot i was melting, i can’t even describe how awful it is. supposedly it was 40°C, but i swear i saw a report saying it was 46°C with the heat index. i feel like i’m living in a stinky dumpster.
