so it’s april now – april fools, april showers, the beginning of spring and the christian season of birth & renewal. the weather is starting to warm up here in shanghai, i’ve been riding my bike in shorts and a t-shirt, sun shining like crazy and tiny flowers budding up and turning everything into that perfect shade of spring minty green. in the night time, the sun sets just a little later than usual, and dark clouds gather and sprinkle bits of rain on tin roofs that make for a pretty soundtrack to fall asleep to.
april is always the start of something new — this mixtape isn’t actually all that depressing at all, it’s just hopeful and sweet and a little bit sad but mostly optimistic, happy, looking forward to the future.
ps. maybe a weekly mixtape drop was too ambitious for my busy ass, so a monthly one will have to do. as always, let me know if you want a copy and we’ll make the exchange.
